Nine classic tents and two private suites sit beneath ancient trees where the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers converge in Lower Zambezi National Park, with a permanent view of passing elephants. Canvas, timber, and stone anchor the design; days shift between canoe safaris, long bush lunches, and game drives. Nights bring active tracking and the sound of hippos in the dark.

Nine tents where the Chongwe and Zambezi Rivers converge.
eco minded, safari
7:30 AM
Wake up to hippos grunting and animals rustling outside your tent. The air is cool and the scent of early morning grass and river mist is lovely. Make some hot coffee to sip outside on the deck.
9:25 AM
Climb into the jeep for your first early drive along the Zambezi. The sun rises fast which makes wildlife spotting easier – lions in the grass, baboon stretching.
10:11 AM
Hunger kicks in so time for breakfast under the fig tree – warm bread, tropical fruit, eggs sizzling over the fire. Tune into the landscape.
1:30 PM
Grilled fish, mango salad and iced tea. Kick back post-meal in your tent for a nap in the middle of the day heat.
3:50 PM
Canoe down the Chongwe River – gliding carefully past crocodiles, elephants cooling off and birds that dart through the light.
7:50 PM
Dinner is a low-lit affair – keep things easy and grab an early night, but not without trying a chilled wine perhaps.
