Behind a beautiful blue door in Clerkenwell, once a medieval parish now a hub of design studios and creative studios, The Zetter has charm, character, and a neighbourhood identity all its own. The brand's trademark warmth, delivered in a genuinely historic setting.

a weekend, a long weekend

city trippers, design lovers
8:41 AM
Breakfast is served downstairs in The Parlour. An English breakfast (with very golden hash browns) ought to be on the cards.
10:25 AM
Grab a coffee to go from Compton (across the road) and then stroll to Barbican – if the stars align, the leafy conservatory might be open (check online to nab free tickets ahead of your visit). If not, there's always a great exhibition on and the setting is beautiful.
12:45 PM
Stroll back over to Clerkenwell and walk in for lunch at Luca. Rigatoni with pork sausage ragù and vitello tonnato should both be ordered.
2:50 PM
Back at the hotel, grab an afternoon coffee in The Parlour. There are plenty of cosy nooks for reading, chatting or plotting the next meal. (Psst, if little ones need more entertainment, The Postal Museum nearby is a great way to spend a few hours).
6:40 PM
Dip into a little pub culture on Exmouth Market at the Exmouth Arms. If the sun shines, do as the locals and stand outside with a pint in hand.
8:00 PM
A feast over at Quality Chop House. It's not just a great menu on offer here, there's plenty of history too. It's over 156 years old, with Grade-II listed benches. The menu changes daily depending on the season. The confit potatoes are a crowdpleaser, as are the steak and chops. Save room for the olive oil ice cream.
10:10 PM
Nightcap back at base. If you're lucky, it will be jazz night too. We love the negronis here.

In the build of the hotel, they used timber from sustainable sources and environmentally friendly paints for the walls.
Wherever possible, they’ve worked with local or British brands, including produce in the kitchens.
The drinks menu is a celebration of sustainable brands including Discarded Spirits (they use discarded fruits to create their spirits).
