There’s no better way to wake up than to the smell of freshly baked bread. Made in the adobe oven outside, the breakfast spread is full of local ingredients like zingy cactus fruit, and it all comes prettily spread across a blue gingham tablecloth.

One of our favourite outings combines the exploration of historical villages like Maca and Pinchollo with a visit to the impressive Geyser of Pinchollo. Continuously active, this natural phenomenon sends plumes of steam and hot water into the air against the backdrop of the Hualca Hualca volcano.

The best spot in Sallalli for a picnic lunch of local goodies, and you’re completely surrounded by nature. Keep your eyes peeled for Condors flying high.

On the way to the spring, discover and collect local plants, flowers and aromatic herbs, and learn from guides about their traditional uses. If you’re up for it, try some special infusions used by the Collaguas.

Back at the camp, make the most of your deep standalone bathtub or go for a soak in the outdoor tub with the sleepy scent of eucalyptus.
