Swing open your balcony doors and let the fresh lake breeze in. Back at the terrace, order a relaxed breakfast as swans glide on the mirror-calm lake. It's a slow, soul-nourishing start to the day.

Adventure calls, and it’s just steps away. The historic Rigi Bahn (Europe’s first mountain railway) departs right next to the hotel. Hop aboard the bright red cogwheel train toward Mt. Rigi’s summit. The higher you climb, the more breathtaking the view: Lake Lucerne and countless Alpine peaks unfurl below.

Before going back to the hotel, stop at Regina Montium for lunch. The hyper-local, garden-sourced dishes are the real draw. Note that every first Sunday of the month, you can also try the gourmet menu from the one Michelin-star restaurant usually open only for dinner.

By mid-afternoon, you’re back at the hotel, ready to indulge in some serious relaxation. After taking the stairs facing the 12m Aquarium, time to slip into the spa’s outdoor infinity pool. We love that the pool’s edge lies right next to the cool lake.

Spend the evening at Park Vitznau, it brings a special kind of magic. The lake is all yours for golden hour, and you feel a world away from everything else.

Book your table at the Grill, it’s more casual for a relaxed dinner facing the lake. Ask for a tour of the unique Wine cellar downstairs, it’s seriously impressive.
