A design hotel in Rome by Luca Guadagnino’s studio. Palazzo Talìa blends history, frescos and bold interiors - between the Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps.
Between the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, Luca Guadagnino's architectural studio (the director of Call Me by Your Name) collaborated with Galeria Mia on this 16th-century palazzo, once home to the Pope's secretary. Original frescos and Roman statues sit alongside bolder contemporary accents and statement furniture. Feels like a museum in the public spaces, a Roman home in the rooms.

7:26 AM
Rise and shine, there’s a lot to do in Rome today. But first, head to the Trevi Fountain before the crowds start to descend (really, pre 8 am to avoid the cleaning crew too). Not many people can say they’ve had it to themselves.
8:19 AM
While we’d normally advise saving up for lunch, breakfast is too pretty here. Find the courtyard and pile a plate up of Roman staples and traditional classics: flaky croissants, fresh fruits, omelettes, pancakes… the whole delicious spread.
10:41 AM
The hotel is surrounded by some of the city’s best art spots. Ask Angelica, the in-house art expert, for her favourites. She even has the keys to a few secret spaces.
12:30 PM
Go where the locals go, it’s only 15 minutes away near Piazza Navona. Laid back and relaxed, they dish out proper pizza. Go classic with a Margherita and a glass of house wine.
3:57 PM
Slip back to the hotel and find the spa - just as beautiful as it is impressive. Make the most of pool before a sauna session.
6:34 PM
A sit-down feels good after a day of cobblestones and dodging crowds. The bar back at the hotel is a dream too – order a Negroni and relax.
8:30 PM
Book in for dinner at Tramae for strong Roman flavours but with a cool French bistro twist. Try the savory maritozzo filled with shrimp, tartar sauce and celery puntarelle and the Sorrento lemon delight to finish.
