Le Caribou is the name this hotel at Corsica's northern tip went by in the 1950s, when it welcomed Serge Gainsbourg, Romy Schneider, and Jean-Paul Belmondo. Abandoned for years, it was relaunched in 2016 with a Cycladic warmth: marble, rattan, travertine, and its own olive oil production. Lemon and olive trees fill the grounds; 30 minutes from Bastia.

9:10 AM
Breakfast takes place on the panoramic terrace. Here, the menu spotlights local producers, so go for Corsican cheese and charcuterie, with plenty of fresh fruit and honey (local, of course).
10:25 AM
Misincu will organise a pretty boat trip for you. Discover Le Cap heading towards Macinaggio (also known as Le Sentier des Douaniers). If you're lucky, you might spot Corsican cows sunbathing on the beach.
12:30 PM
Stay on the boat and head to lunch, or opt for a short hike to Centuri, a small fishing village specialising in lobster. For lunch, book a table at Le Langoustier for the freshest fish and seafood.
2:50 PM
Back at the hotel, go under the little bridge to access Misincu’s intimate beach. The clear water is absolutely stunning here.
8:30 PM
It doesn’t get more local than La Table. Most of the vegetables and fruit come from the hotel’s garden, and then are doused with their very own olive oil.
10:10 PM
You could go for their house-made limoncello, or try their Spritz Capo, made with Cap Mattei (a Corsican liqueur alternative to Aperol) and sparkling Muscat (a sparkling wine that we think it better than Prosecco).

In the spa, home-made and local skincare brand Nucca is used. It was born from an ecological awareness with seriously visible effectiveness, we rate it.
Ingredients can’t get more local – 70% of their vegetables come from the garden, plus, they produce their own olive oil and limoncello.
The architecture and design of the hotel was made to seamlessly slip into the landscape, keeping things subtle and respectful too.
