From Beaumier, this 1950s modernist building on the French Riviera is a seriously stylish stay. Mid-century furniture, coffee table books, and a balcony framing the sea sit alongside a saltwater pool that hugs the rocks below. The team know how to set the tone, a cocktail on arrival, a swim suggestion shortly after. Rooms are minimal but thoughtful.

a long weekend, a week
A 1950s modernist Riviera building. Mid-century furniture throughout.
design lovers, sun seekers, foodies
8:29 AM
Early birds can catch a dip in the sea at first light – we love sunrise for this. Slink back upstairs for a coffee on your balcony while the rest of the hotel wakes up.
9:30 AM
Time for petit dejeuner. A leisurely affair with all the Provençal flavours. We love the savoury tarts and super flaky pastries. Grab a seat on the terrace to face the sea.
10:54 AM
Want to head out? Hop in the car for a snake along the Saint-Raphaël coastline for Riviera scenes.
1:11 PM
Seek out the best secret beaches, and there are plenty to pick from, this is the Riviera. Grab a bottle of something delicious (or bubbly) from the nearby supermarche, a logo’d towel and you're set for the afternoon.
4:45 PM
Back at the hotel and sufficiently sun-drenched, we love a pre-dinner game of petanque in the gardens. Water lovers can seek out the seawater pool.
8:00 PM
Book into La Plage, the ground floor restaurant, for a laidback dinner (fresh grilled octopus, catch of the day) but those wanting something special can head up to Récif, for a Michelin-starred menu. It's obligatory to end the evening on your balcony with a nightcap - star gazing is totally possible here.

Quality not quantity. Chef José Bailly works with what’s local and Mediterranean in an inventive, short but sweet menu.
Water waste and the hotel’s usage get special attention. They’ve particularly chosen to have a bigger saltwater pool.
With a keen eye for design, they strongly look to source vintage and pre-loved pieces and previously used furniture.
