Far from Saint-Tropez's see-and-be-seen energy, La Ponche has an unassuming entrance and interiors designed by Fabrizio Casiraghi (also behind London's Grand Hotel Bellevue and Paris's Hotel des Grands Voyageurs). In the 1950s, Brigitte Bardot graced the halls, she now has a room named after her. Today, guests play backgammon and order chocolate mousse rather than pop bottles.

You’re slow to rise here so mosey over to breakfast on the terrace with views over the glittering sea. Early birds can ask for a sunrise yoga class on the pontoon.
10:04 AM
Get out and about in Saint-Tropez pre-heat and pre-tourists. Check out the Citadelle and its views over the small town, then head over to the port. Bump elbows with French locals who know that the Senequier is better for coffee and a croissant than an evening Champagne.
1:00 PM
We love restaurant Club 55 over in Pampelonne, it’s the perfect place for a feet-in-the-sands outdoor long lunch under the shady trees. Start with a plate of fresh vegetables and a homemade iced tea. Then, drop your towel down for some sunbathing on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Med.
4:15 PM
There’s a coastal path that runs along the entire peninsula of Saint-Tropez. You’ll find the best secret beaches and hidden coves too, like La Plage des Canoubiers. The dreamiest spot for a sunset.
8:00 PM
Over in town, nab a table at Le Tigrr, it overlooks the twinkly lights of the bay’s boats. We love funky fresh plates of sashimi and crudo with a strong cocktail.
10:30 PM
Slink back to the hotel and drop by the bar for a nightcap and a game of backgammon. The delicious cocktail menu has a few signatures inspired by the creatives who once hung out here, painter Bernard Buffet being one.

The seafood can’t get any fresher. Local fisherman haul their lines just outside the door, so it’s both sustainably sourced and just caught, literally.
They're on a mission to reduce the use of plastics and control their water waste. Plus, they use ecologically sound cleaning products.
Second-hand furniture is carefully sourced and used in all the rooms. It’s also combined with artisanal custom-made elements such as Italian wrought iron bedheads.
