Right in Paris's 2nd arrondissement, in the city's Little Tokyo neighbourhood of handroll bars and ramen counters, Hotel Hana fits naturally. Creative director Oliver Leone and interior designer Laura Gonzalez created clean-lined, curvaceous calm with handcrafted pieces, velvet headboards, and terracotta marble bathrooms. The restaurant mixes both countries: langoustine udon, wagyu au poivre, shoestring fries with nori.

city trippers, design lovers
9:24 AM
Go for a refreshing dip in the hotel pool, followed by a ‘BIYŌ’ facial to get the day off to a good start.
10:06 AM
We know a croissant can’t be beat but it’s worth the short walk to TOMO patisserie for some dorayaki pancakes. The disk-shaped treat is often stuffed with a sweet red bean filling.
12:30 PM
Breakfast was only little so after some neighbourhood wandering, stop for lunch at one of Little Tokyo’s best. Bambou not only fires up some strong Thai plates but it’s also one of the hottest terraces to be at during the summer.
1:58 PM
Go for a digestive stroll through the flower gardens of the Palais Royal. In May, the roses really start blooming.
5:38 PM
Back to the hotel for a warm bath. Then, get dressed up for the evening. Grab a cocktail in the bar downstairs – we love the Horse’s Neck made with whisky, smoked rice vinegar, ginger ale and maple syrup.
7:00 PM
Just a 10-minute walk from the hotel is the iconic Opéra Garnier. Splash out and listen to Mozart's Magic Flute, Igor Stravinsky in a chamber concert or see The Nutcracker, depending on the season you’re there.
8:45 PM
Have dinner at Hanabi, the hotel’s restaurant imagined by Shirley Garrier of The Social Food. A discreet and elegant spot where Japanese inspiration meets Parisian finesse. Try the scampi udon or the flank steak with sansho pepper sauce — bold flavors best enjoyed with a glass of sake, naturally.

Craft is put first. They worked closely with skilled craftspeople like Sonja de Monchy, Les Ateliers Roma and Signature Murale who all put their artistic touch on elements of the space.
Materials have been well thought out: roko wood, straw coverings and bicoloured marble all nod to both Japanese and Belle Époque influences.
