A 40-room stay in Paris's 8th arrondissement by Beata Heuman, this is her only Paris hotel and part of the Touriste portfolio. The interiors are entirely Heuman: playful patterns, unexpected colour combinations, and a warmth that is genuinely her own. A rooftop terrace with Eiffel Tower views; a very good breakfast. Head downstairs for breakfast, it’s simple but oh so delicious. Think flaky croissants and freshly squeezed orange juice (top tip: keep it light and save for a bigger lunch out).

Walk, or jump on the metro (Line 1!) to cool hotspot Alfi's near Place Vendôme for lunch. The order? Gnocco fritto with mortadella, spaghetti alle vongole and a banging tiramisu.

You have to do a little bit of Champs Élysées shopping before heading back to the hotel. It’s worth it, just for the displays. Stop into Molli for chic knitwear.

Sometimes you need a little OTT dinner. Maxim’s is always a favourite, but go for a more see and be seen attitude, book in at Lapérouse. Talk about decadence…
