You’ll float through six different thermal areas, from a Frigidarium to Caldarium, Tepidarium and Hay Sauna, which will give your immune system plenty of TLC.

Head off base, it will be hard to, but 15 minutes away by car is one of the best pubs in the county. Meet The Bull in Charlbury (sister to The Pelican in Notting Hill), and they happen to plate up a pretty perfect pie. Order with a draft ale and you’ll fit right in with the locals.

On a sunny summer’s day, this pool is the best place to be. Under a stripey fabric umbrella, with a cold drink in hand, and some sunscreen too. Bring your camera.

We’re big fans of The Muse – the onsite retail store. It’s a dreamy edit of homeware, knit jumpers, coasters and candle holders. You’ll want everything.

Get a little dressed up, you’ll match the vibe downstairs when evening comes around. Plus, there’s always a little buzz. Especially after a strong drip at the bar in The Living Room or Library. Settle into a corner before dinner.
