Just a 30-minute car ride from the beautiful castles of la Loire, such as Chenonceau or Amboise, the environs offer much to explore.

What's more French than a guinguette? Lunch at Sauvage, close to Amboise. You'll eat with your feet in the grass, by the Loire River. They serve local produce. If you don't want to stay too long in the sun, go inside – yes, the restaurant is in a cave.
