Breakfast is a shady spread: freshly baked bread, syrupy olive oil, feta cheese, olives, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pots of sweet honey. No two breakfasts ever look the same, staying here – they’re always whipping up delicious dishes depending on what's in season.

Head to the Blue Grotto for a morning swim. Find a local boat to take you out there – take note, you have to lie flat to get inside the caves, but it's really magical.

Lunch is at Old Story – Old Time, a really charming local taverna with views overlooking the port (and Turkey). Try to sit by the water and order big plates of moussaka, fried feta with honey and an Alpha beer.

Make the most of the sun and seek out Plakes, a secluded swimming and sunbathing spot on the limestone rocks. You'll need to get a taxi boat there, but that only adds to the sense of adventure.

Journey on back to the hotel and freshen up. Then head to the terrace to enjoy a cocktail at the Pergola Bar. The views are so special, especially with a basil smash in hand.

Check to see if there's a pop-up dinner at the hotel – they often host them with fun guest chefs. If not, head to dinner at Lazarakis Restaurant - there's a real buzz in the evening.
